Stephen Press
Stephen joined TVNZ in 1984, working on a wide range of programmes and earning seven in house awards. In 1992 he was sent to the USA to attend the NPPA workshop where some of his stories are still used as teaching material. 
Stephen Press on location
In 1996 Stephen moved to the UK, working for the BBC, Sky and Disney UK. He completed the Op Tex Steadicam course sponsored by ITN before accepting ITNs head of cameras position in the North of England. He bought his own Action Cam rig and has worked with it on Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Voted 1998 UK Action Cam Operator of the year.
Skating Away
Since his return to NZ in 1999, Stephen has been working with Pacific Screen on a variety of shoots including the award winning $20 Challenge as well as being DOP for one feature film and several short films. |
